II.2.4) Description of procurement: We are looking for suppliers to work with UKHO on the delivery of new or enhanced data centric products and services, delivering to both of our core markets Commercial Shipping & Defence.
We are also looking for suppliers to work with UKHO on the discovery, prototyping and building of data management and digital services, as part of our digital transformation programme to maintain our position as the world-leading marine geospatial information agency and hydrographic office.
The suppliers will work alongside existing in-house digital development teams in two ways:
•Firstly, working with Microsoft and open source technologies to select, design and adopt appropriate technologies (this may include consultancy, filling temporary skills gaps and/or providing training and support)
•Secondly, we are looking to make a significant transformation in a relatively short timeframe (3 years) and we have limited in-house resources; we are therefore looking for support to deliver discrete packages of work to increase our velocity
